Vibration Table Modal Survey

Navcon engineers conducted a dynamic characterization of an Environmental Stress Screening - Vibration Impact Table.   The project included a linearity study, a frequency response survey, an impact modal test, an operational deflection shape survey and a FRF-ODS survey.  The linearity and modal data was acquired with a HP 35670A analyzer.   The operational deflection shape and FRF-ODS data was acquired using a HP 3566A analyzer.   The measurement grids included 81 tri-axial accelerometer locations and one (force - modal or response - ODS) reference location.   The test results were used in the design of test fixtures for environmental stress screen tests.

The mode shape plot on the left is the ninth structural mode identified during the modal test. The dashed line shows the undeformed vibration table top.  The solid line is the deformed shape.
