SoundPLAN Application Note - Contour Noise Map

Contour Noise Map: Navcon Engineers predicted the Sound Pressure Levels within a plant. The results where used to designate OSHA "Noise Zones" and to predict the Noise Levels throughout the Plant and adjacent residential community. [High Sound Levels : red/blue color ; Lower Sound Levels: yellow/green colors]

Hatched Boxes: Buildings, Stacks and Generators

Red Stars: Point Sources representing Pumps, Generators, Stacks, Motors, Fans, Cooling Systems

Yellow Lines: Ground Topography Data

Application:

• Modeling noise impact of existing or planned noise sources
• Simulation and optimization of noise treatments / modifications on sources
• Documentation and control feature for user
• Colored visualization of propagation effects (screening, reflection, adding sound sources, etc.) for presentation
