Geographical-Database (Geo-Database)

The Geo-Database is a major component of SoundPLAN as it generates and manages all geometrical and descriptive data, result files and result spreadsheets. The Run File assembles the input data with calculation commands and prepares the data for the graphic output.

GeoDatabase - Situation Manager - Management of the Geometrical Data Sets

All geometry data is written into Geo-Files which can be flexibly combined to form "Situations" as administrative units that represent either a planning stage (current status versus planned version in some years) or a noise type (road versus railway and industry noise). All non geometrical data are managed in standard databases formats so that an exchange of information to other programs can be accomplished with ease.

GeoDatabase - Graphic Data Interface - Shows Objects, Viewports

Source are defined geometrically (points, lines or areas) and with attributes setting the name, frequency spectrum (red graph) and operation time (blue graph).

Input of Sources - Point Line Area - spectral description, time history

The SoundPLAN objects define a 3 dimensional acoustical model.  Side views and a wire frame model allow the user to very the input geometry.
