Hands-On Modal Testing
In-house Training & Workshop

Navcon Engineering Network conducts seminars and workshops on a variety of noise and vibration related topics.  Educating between 80 to 125 engineers and technicians per year, each presentation is custom tailored for the specific audience.

Some of the custom training topics are as follows:

Environmental Noise Training
Noise Measurement, Noise Modeling, Noise Assessment

The 2 day Environmental Noise Seminar is intended for engineers, technicians and hygienists working in the fields of environmental, community, and/or Industrial noise measurement, analysis and control.

DP - Abacus Analyzer

Principal Hardware Specification

SIDLAB Acoustics
SIDLAB Double Plug Muffler Model Schematic

This module models the generation and propagation of low frequency sound in complex duct networks. The frequency range is limited to the plane wave region in the connecting pipes. It is based on linear acoustic theory and all elements, e.g., a complex muffler, are reduced to two-ports while terminations and sources are represented as one-ports.

SoundPLAN - Sound Propagation Modeling Software
SoundPLAN v8 Manager GUI

SoundPLAN is an acoustic ray tracing program for noise propagation prediction written by the German acoustical consulting firm, SoundPLAN GmbH.

Data Physics - Data Acquisition Systems

Founded in 1984, the Data Physics Corporation has been supplying high performance vibration control and dynamic signal analysis solutions.   Since 1998 Navcon Engineering Network has been using Data Physics Analyzers for consulting services.  Since 2000 all data acquisition processed during the Ha

SIDLAB Flow
SIDLAB Double Plug Muffler Flow Model Schematic

SIDLAB Flow is a very quick 1D tool to calculate the pressure drop introduced by the designed muffler system. It calculates the flow distribution and pressure drop inside the network using a two-port formulation, and feeds the results into the acoustic calculation in SIDLAB Acoustics.
