dBSea - Underwater Propagation

dBSea has been developed by Marshall Day Acoustics as a powerful tool for the prediction of underwater noise in a variety of environments.

dBSea is ideal for the investigation of underwater acoustic problems involving single or multiple sources using solvers covering a wide frequency range.

This is a post-processing module for measurement data. It handles two types of measurements: 

Air Bearing Horizontal Shakers

The APS Dynamics series of air bearing long stroke vibration exciters provide excellent properties for low frequency excitation of accelerometers and other low frequency instruments and sensors. Some models have a horizontal air bearing table coupled to the driver unit that allows high payloads up to 23 kg e.g.

SIDLAB Double Plug Muffler Flow Model Schematic

SIDLAB Flow is a very quick 1D tool to calculate the pressure drop introduced by the designed muffler system. It calculates the flow distribution and pressure drop inside the network using a two-port formulation, and feeds the results into the acoustic calculation in SIDLAB Acoustics.
